Prof. Balsam A. Mustafa
University Malaysia Pahang (UMP) , MalaysiaBiography: Dr. Balsam A. Mustafa works with the Software Engineering Department at University Malaysia Pahang (UMP) since 2011. She earned her PhD in Computer Science (Software Engineering) in 2009. She has over 10 years experience in teaching range of courses in computer science and software engineering at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She has awarded one of the top 5 master course lecturers in UMP in 2014. Balsam has served on roughly 20 international conference program committees and journals editorial board. She is the chief editor of her faculty bulletin and has been a reviewer for numerous conferences. Her research interests are in the areas of requirements engineering, empirical software engineering, intelligent health care systems, and software quality assurance, with special emphasis on teaching and supervision quality in higher education. She has many publications in these areas of research. Balsam is a member of IEEE, IEEE Communications Society, Computer Science Teachers Association CSTA (ACM), Int. Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT), and Australian Academy of Business Leadership (AABL).
Professor Dr. Nozomu Hamada
Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia
Biography: Nozomu Hamada received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Keio University, Yokohama, Japan in 1970, 1972, and 1975 respectively. He served as a professor of Keio University from 1991. He is currently a professor
of Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology, Unitersiti Teknologi Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur from 2013. He was a visiting researcher at the Australian National University, an adjunct professor of Xi’an Jiaotong University and Xi’an Jiaotong University City College, and a visiting professor of Warsaw Technical University in 1982, 2006, and 2010 respectively.
His research fields are digital signal processing, computer vision, and image processing. He is the author/co-author of 11 books. He was the chair of the IEEE Signal Processing Society, Japan Chapter in 2004, and was the chief editor of Journal of Signal Processing.
Dr. Hamada received an excellent paper award of ICSPS 2014, best paper award of the Journal of Signal processing in 2012, and a life member of IEEE and a fellow of IEICE.
Prof. Dr. Wirachman Wisnoe
Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia.
Biography: Prof. Dr. Wirachman Wisnoe was born in Bandung, Indonesia in 1962. He is currently working as professor at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam, Malaysia. He obtained his degree from University Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France. He then took his further studies at ENSICA, Toulouse, France. Prof. Wirachman Wisnoe received his Doctor of Philosophy from ENSAE/Sup’Aero, Toulouse, France in 1993. After graduated, he worked at the Indonesian Aerospace Industry (PT. IPTN) as Head of Mission Systems Department where he was involved in the development of Maritime Patrol Aircraft. In the year 2005, he joined UiTM. His research is focused on the aerodynamics of Blended-Wing-Body Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and also in the area of thermofluids.
Ir. Prof. Dr. Sim Kok Swee
Multimedia University, Malaysia
Biography: Ir. Prof. Dr. Sim Kok Swee was given the Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM) award from Academic Science Malaysia (ASM). He serves as Associate fellow for Malaysia Academic Science Malaysia, senior panel for Engineering Accreditation Council and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and recently he was transferred as fellow of IEM and fellow of IET. He has also served in different capacities and won numerous accolades and awards for excellent performance. He has established Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology, a research institute that will become a leading player in the research activity in Malaysia. He nurtures the centre from humble beginnings to an enviable position in local, regional and global research. He is currently working closely with various local and overseas institutions and hospitals. In recognition of his immense contribution to national, society and industrial development in Malaysia, he has been honored with numerous awards for outstanding achievements. He is heavily involved in Institute of Engineer Malaysia (IEM) as Melaka State committee member, secretary, vice chairman, Multimedia University student chapter advisor, Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) MMU student chapter. Besides, he is also the technical advisor for MMU student table tennis club. He is also the senior member of IEEE, member of IEM. As a professional engineer, he is also registered as a Chartered Engineer from IET, Professional Engineer from IEM, International Professional Engineering from IEM and APEC, Asia Pacific Engineer (APEC) from both IEM and APEC.
